We’re searching for a Market Research Director to be part of our Center of Excellence Research Practice, blending market research expertise with a thirst for innovation and disruption. Our product is transforming the market research landscape, requiring a visionary leader to partner with the world’s top brands, reshaping how they do research.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Management of Client Accounts for Research Project Execution: Take charge of client relationships, ensuring their needs are met with precision and a personal touch. Proactively engage with each client to understand their unique challenges and opportunities, crafting tailored solutions.
  • Data-Driven Insights and Solutions Crafting: Dive deep into data analysis and market research to inform strategic decisions. Develop and implement innovative solutions that directly address the specific challenges and objectives of your clients.
  • Project Management and Execution Excellence: Oversee and execute projects from conception to completion, ensuring high standards of quality and timeliness. Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and stay hands-on in the creation and delivery of deliverables.
  • Client Advocacy and Problem Resolution: Act as the primary advocate for your clients within the organization. Promptly identify and resolve any issues, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Continuous Learning and Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of industry trends and developments to offer cutting-edge advice and solutions. Commit to ongoing learning and professional development to enhance your expertise and value to clients.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Work closely with other departments and teams, leveraging your knowledge and client insights to influence internal strategies and improvements. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Effective Communication and Reporting: Keep clients and internal stakeholders informed with regular updates, reports, and presentations. Utilize exceptional communication skills to convey complex information clearly and convincingly.
  • Agile and Practive Leadership: Demonstrate agility and a proactive approach in addressing client needs and market changes.  Adapt strategies and tactics swiftly to seize opportunites and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • 8 years’ minimum experience working in consumer insights, consumer research, market research, or in an analyst/strategy role at a media/technology company.
  • Project Scoping and Adaptability: Demonstrated capability in the scoping of research projects, adeptly navigating shifting client priorities to tailor research approaches, set clear expectations, and establish feasible timelines. A proactive and flexible mindset towards managing both project scope and client needs is essential.
  • Methodological Versatility: Comfortable with executing and guiding teams through a spectrum of research methodologies, from traditional to innovative, ensuring the right approach is applied to gather actionable insights.
  • Results Analysis and Interpretation: Proficient in analyzing research outcomes across diverse methodologies; demonstrated experience translating data into strategic insights that inform decision-making and drive client success.
  • Client Engagement and Expectation Management: Strong communication skills in setting and managing expectations with clients, offering expert advice on research design, and delivering insights that address specific business questions.
  • Proven High-Paced Environment Experience: xperience within high-paced environments, agile mentality, or the ability to demonstrate a robust capability to thrive in fast-moving settings.  This includes managing tight deadlines, responding to rapid market change, and maintaining high-quality research output under pressure.
  • Internally-motivated, flexible, curious self-starter who continuously strives to get things done, regardless of challenges encountered.
  • Invested in becoming a better researcher, consistently pursuing deeper understanding from data.
  • Critical thinker, able to understand and respond to complex questions from clients and lead the development of research plans as well as deliver game-changing insights.
  • Team player, able work collaboratively and/or initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Passion for research and, in particular, custom projects, in multiple areas of specialization/across the product and services lifecycle.
  • Preference for candidates with experience using Q software, generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT), and Excel for data analysis.

  • The target base compensation for this role is $127,500 - $160,000
